Eli Lang

I am an artist and photographer currently based in Texas, where I’m also studying architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. In my work I’m particularly interested in how the built environment and nature interact. In my photography I often try to capture where nature complements buildings or where nature exhibits a unique sense of place on its own.

In my visual art, I love experimenting with and combining different mediums. I try to put a touch of whimsy into my work, and I hope that I can draw attention and awareness to beauty in the many things that initially seem mundane.

In my spare time I try to appreciate the small things in life. I love going for walks, where I can listen to the chirps of birds and admire the beauty of the oaks which tower over me. I’m an avid reader of just about anything; though some of my favorite books are memoirs because they often portray what I fail to be able to put into words.
